Tilden Katz has spent ten years counseling clients on how to work
with the media to position specific cases, improve their business
prospects and respond during crisis situations and litigation. A
former attorney at Seyfarth, Shaw and Vice President of Holland
& Knight Strategic Communications, Tilden has designed successful
communications strategies - and put them into practice - for corporations,
large law firms and public officials across the country.
Tilden understands both legal issues and media needs - and
helps clients use the press to reach important audiences beyond
the courtroom and the boardroom.
In addition to general media relations, Tilden specializes in litigation-related communication. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in nationally known anti-trust, criminal defense, fraud, medical malpractice, product liability and toxic tort cases, among many others. He has defused crisis situations and strengthened clients' negotiating positions by putting their most compelling arguments in hundreds of editorials and articles, including stories on the front page of the New York Times, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and National Law Journal.
Tilden graduated from Wesleyan University and Northwestern
University School of Law. Before attending law school, he spent
five years working with the media for several elected officials,
including the District Attorney of San Francisco and the Speaker
of the House in Missouri.
